Our founding pillars

We are STEPFORCE - a social enterprise committed to linking skilled refugees to employment tailored to their ability and experience.


38% of refugees in the UK hold university degrees but a staggering 82% remain unemployed. We saw an opportunity - refugees offer a rich pool of untapped potential and talent that can fill gaps in the British workforce.


Our platform aims to empower skilled refugees through employment by connecting them to socially responsible employers. This allows employers to diversify their workforce and draw upon the unique experiences and skills of these individuals.


Our team is made up of four university students from LSE, Imperial College, Exeter and City University unified by a view that refugees are an opportunity and not a burden. With legal, marketing, economic, refugee and health orientated expertise, we have the depth and breadth of knowledge to tackle the complexities of the task ahead.


We have partnered with a number of refugee centres and charities in order to better understand our market and the barriers that face refugees seeking employment. Working with these partners, we provide our high potential refugees with a tailored means of finding fulfilling employment.
